YouTube, Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Periscope...so many platforms!

I had such a great weekend! Saturday I spent the day with MY Beachbody Coach, Amanda, down in Woburn for a presentation and then on to SUPER SATURDAY at UMass Boston! We did a Cize LIVE workout which was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. So much fun and I didn't even realize 45 minutes had gone by! I love it and I'm hoping to get a few people in this Challenge Group that we're starting up in August. It's going to be awesomeeeeee.

Beachbody really is like a family. I went with 8 other people to the "meeting", 7 of whom I had never met before in my life. I left feeling comfortable with all of them, and we had a great time laughing and joking and talking about Beachbody and where we're going from here. I couldn't have asked for a greater group of people to be working with.

I was kind of stagnant with my weightloss for awhile, which is SUPER frustrating, because I wasn't losing inches EITHER! I was working out every day and eating right, I just wasn't losing the weight or inches. I got my Shakeology in on Tuesday night and started my shakes on Wednesday morning and I've lost weight EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. since then! It's crazy how that one little thing can make such a difference!

At first I thought that the Shakeology (vegan chocolate) had a weird aftertaste and I wasn't a fan, but now after I've had it everyday for the last 6 days, I think it's amazing and I don't get that aftertaste at all. I guess you just have to get used it. I would definitely recommend to people on their first order to get the combo pack so they can try the chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.

I can't wait to start sharing some of my favorite recipes with everything, including a few of my own "creations" that came out pretty damn good!

There are SO MANY platforms for social media out there. Should I create a YouTube page and do some vlog entries? Should I go with live broadcasts on Periscope? Do I use my personal Facebook page or do I use my "like" page? What am I supposed to tweet? I'm so confused when it comes to all of the platforms out there for social media that will help me to grow my business. I don't want to take on all of them at once, because then I know that at least one will get neglected and I don't want to neglect everything. Of course I say that I don't want to start them all at once, but I have this blog, I have my personal Facebook AND a "like" page, F3 Lifestyle, I have an Instagram and I just recorded a video to upload to YouTube. I haven't traveled into the world of live broadcasts on Periscope, yet, but maybe eventually. I also haven't done much on Twitter yet, although I do have a Twitter account. I'm just so confused as to what I should focus on, so for now, my Blog and Facebook and Instagram will have to do!

Whoa, I'm blogging. Again. Hello!

I haven't written in a blog for over a year-and-a-half, back when I was all about that Paleo lifestyle. I thought I could make it as a blogger, but turns out, I just wasn't dedicated enough. That changes NOW.

My name is Jenn and this is my blog.

What does F3 stand for, you may ask? While many of my posts may be fitness related here, I believe that there's WAY more to life than fitness. Specifically, food, fitness and FUN! These 3 "F"s together have the most amazing euphoric effect on people.

Check out the "About Me" section to learn more about my journey - where I've come from and where I'm going. I won't bore you with the details here, but know that I've most likely been there and done that (unless it's SERIOUSLY illegal...like murder...)

Like I was saying earlier, I used to be all about that Paleo (paleolithic) lifestyle. Many people have heard of Paleo and many have not, so a really quick intro. to Paleo:
Pa·le·o di·et
ˈpeɪlioʊ ˌdīət/
noun
  1. a diet based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit, and excluding dairy or grain products and processed food.

Let me just start out by saying that I LOVE BREAD. It's in my family's genes. Everyone on my dad's side is overweight and they're (almost) all carb-a-holics! My mom and dad BOTH lost a ton a weight a bunch of years back and they've done a really really good job of keeping it off. They keep super active and they kayak, dance, bike, hike, etc. I'm so proud of them.

When you're living the Paleo lifestyle, there  are NO GRAINS allowed. That means no bread, no pizza, no pancakes, no cookies, no cake...yes, there are ways around it (almond flour cookies/pancakes, cauliflower pizza crust) but it's just not the same thing. Also, there's NO DAIRY allowed. That's another thing that I absolutely LOVE -- cheese! Me and cheese are besties (sorry Amanda). I like to eat string cheese as a snack, or I did at least. My love affair with cheese ended when I picked up Paleo.

I'm not going to lie -- I was working out and living the Paleo lifestyle and I lost about 40 lbs. I was looking good! I was feeling more confident, I was living a better life, but I was missing something. I was actually missing TWO somethings. Dairy and carbs. I don't like being told that I can't have something. When I'm told that I can't have something, I want it even more. However, I'm a glutton for punishment, so when presented with a Whole30 challenge, I gladly accepted. THAT WAS IT for me. After the Whole30 challenge I completely dropped paleo and I, unfortunately, started eating crappy food again, and I gained back most of the weight that I had lost.

Fastforward a year and a half-ish...I was talking to my parents and mentioned that I was thinking about doing the 21 Day Fix. Little did I know, they had done it the previous year and still had all of their stuff!! So they let me borrow the workout DVDs, their weights, the containers, the meal guides...everything. I took it home and started planning that same night. I was fully intending on doing it by myself, without any help or support. The next day I had posted something on my Facebook about it, and my friend messaged me and asked if I wanted to join a Challenge Group. I joined and I lost 10 lbs that first round of 21 Day Fix. I continued eating clean for a few more weeks and then joined ANOTHER challenge group.

And THEN, I decided to become a coach! I already share my fitness journey with others. I already encourage and support other people and offer motivation tidbits. Why wouldn't I want to get paid to do that? I was in! I joined up a week ago and there's SO MUCH information out there for me to learn about that I'm starting to get overwhelmed. I just need to breath, stretch, shake it off and gather everything together and it will all work out.

I'm so excited to share my journey, food, fun and fitness with you!!
